Columbia Recreational Soccer Program

The Sporting Columbia administers Columbia's community recreational soccer program.  We currently have over 1,200 youth soccer players registered in this program.  Our mission is to ensure Columbia's youth have more fun and stay active and healthy.  If you're looking for a great opportunity for your child to develop new friends and more confidence, recreational soccer is the perfect choice.  Learn more about our Recreational program below.

What are the Age Groups?

Our recreational program is available for age groups ranging from 3 years of age to18 (U4-U19). Check our age matrix for more information.

How do I Register?

Registration is for 1 year and includes a Fall season followed by a Spring season.  Registration is typically required by July 1st of each year.  The Club does its best to fill Spring requests as openings permit.  See "Registration" on the top navigation bar for registration details.

What are the Fees?

The Club sets fees prior to Fall registration each year.  The 2014/2015 fee schedule is listed below and includes both the Fall and Spring season:

U4 - U8


U9 - U10


U11 - U12






Less than $75 per season for all age groups!

New for 2014 / 2015 - Fees are payable in two payments, first is due at the time of registration and the second is due on August 1st. The second payment will process via the credit card of file at the time of registration.

Please note: No refunds offered after the registration deadline of July 1st except in extenuating circumstances. Requests may be made via the refund request form, all requests will be reviewed.

Is Financial Assistance Available?

The Club does offer financial assistance to families who qualify.  For more information please visit or our Financial Assistance page. Applications are due July 1st. Players requesting aid should also sumbit the paper application, click here to print form.

What is the Commitment?

Games are generally held on Saturday mornings, but may occasionally be scheduled during the week.  Games are typically played at Cosmo Park.  Most coaches will ask parents to help with snack and game reminders.

Interested in Being a Volunteer Coach?

The Club is always looking for volunteer coaches for recreational soccer.  Being a volunteer coach is a great way to spend quality time with your child and help out a great cause.  Learn more.  All coaches must register and pass a background check processed through the Missouri Youth Soccer Association.

When are Practices?

Coaches generally determine practice times. The current practice limits are as follows:

U4 - U7

First 25 minutes of game

U8 - U9

One 1-hour session/week

U10 +

Two 1.5 hour sessions/week

Where are Practices?

Coaches set the practice days and times for their teams.
