Sporting Columbia is looking forward to hosting a futsal league again this winter at the Columbia Sports Fieldhouse in partnership with Columbia Parks & Recreation!  We are excited to announce Missouri Eye Consultants as our new 2025 futsal sponsor!

 

Futsal Benefits: Futsal is a high speed version of the outdoor game requiring technique and quick decision making. The format is 5v5 (4 plus a keeper) so everyone is involved and an integral part of the game. This league is designed for fun, building skills, and preparing players for the spring season.  Games will be played on full-size basketball courts with regulation Bownet futsal goals and weighted balls.  All games will be officiated in accordance with Futsal rules.  Max roster size is 9 players per team. 

 

League Play: 5 Sundays (12pm - TBD)

Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced

Win - Three Points

Tie - One Point

Shutout - One Point

Goal - One Point up to three goals (So you can lose a match, but still get points)

Example: If you win 4-0, that is 7 points (win, shutout and three points for goals up to three).  Example: Lose 4-2 - Two points for two goals. We want to encourage creative attacking play, win or lose and reward it.
